Being a pro art insta stalker, I thought I'd share my pickings of some of my fav artist giving me inspo and all the aesthetic feels. Australia has a plethora of artists in their ranks too so I could do a list of about 100, but ALAS, my 2 year old is calling. Enjoy my top 7 for now!

1. Clare Purser
Every time I see a Clare Purser painting on my instagram I double hit ‘like’. Her gestures evoke so much emotion, and I’m loving seeing how her art is developing and growing! Bonus points for being a Brisbane based artist too 😊

2. Alexandra Plim
Based out of Sydney, Alexandra’s work celebrates all that is colourful and textured. Fun fact: I love Alexandra’s work so much that I recently purchased one of her paintings for our place! The one below, to be precise 😃

3. Catherine Cassidy
I LOVE how bold and dramatic some of Catherine’s painting are, and the one below captures this energy perfectly. You can tell she’s not afraid in her paintings!

4. Pamela Honeyfield
Pamela was a recent find of mine. Obsessed with her textures and layers, I found myself deep in 3 years worth of posts of hers and couldn’t look back! Dive in if you have the time!

5. Ali Mcnabney-Stevens
Probably one of the more established artists that I follow, and am slightly intimated by, is Ali Mcnabney-Stevens. She always seems to get the colour compositions right and can translate her techniques into a number of different styles of painting which is so great to see. A very versatile artist!

6. Kate Pittas art
Another fellow Brisbanite, Kate has a great eye for colour and translates the Australian landscape onto the canvas in such a unique way. I’ve loved seeing Kate’s style develop and can’t wait to see what’s in store for her!

7. Annie Everingham
I have followed Annie’s work for a little while now, and I’m always so shocked how she can create such seemingly simple paintings that are overwhelmingly beautiful! She has a great eye for colour composition and movement.
